Learn all you need to know about craft beer. The more you know about beer, the more knowledgeable you will be when it comes to knowing your stuff!

When the craft beer market began, beers from American small brewers were commonly called "microbrewed" beer. The success and growth of many microbreweries has necessitated a change in how we describe these high quality produced specialty beers. Dozens of high quality microbreweries were so successful that they grew out of the size we call microbreweries, yet they continued to brew terrific full flavored specialty beers.

We now call all of their products "craft beers." These are beers produced by breweries of all sizes that emphasize their quality by producing all malt (or nearly all malt) beers. We refer to these breweries as "Craft Brewers". It's a name that helps distinguish between the quality American beer made with rice, corn and sugar adjuncts and quality American beer that appeals to beer enthusiasts that appreciate the fuller flavor of all-malt beer.
