1554 Enlightened Black Ale (12 oz) - Other than being dark in color, 1554 has little in common with Porters or Stouts. This beer is simply a very nice, hearty, roasty flavored brew. If you haven't tried it, we highly recommend you do.

The beer is fermented at relatively high temperatures using a European lager yeast that imparts a refreshing and zesty acidity. The chocolate and coffee tones in this ale give way to a surprisingly clean finish.
